Jeff Brightwell

I am currently employed with the Shepherd Radio Group in Moberly, Missouri, where I have been since 1997. I began my young career at WUMR, the University of Memphis campus station, where I quickly obtained the Sports Director position.

After graduation, I took a job working with WSFZ where I was the Studio Host for the Memphis Pharaohs of the Arena Football League. Later in the fall of 1996, I was hired by the Memphis River Kings of the CHL to be Director of Merchandising and also filled in as broadcaster including the CHL finals.

After one season, I returned to radio full-time for the Shepherd Group. I currently do basketball and football for CMC (NAIA), MACC women's basketball (NJCAA), and Truman State softball (NCAA D2) as well as regional high school sports including soccer and wrestling. I have received Missouri Broadcasters Awards for sports the last two years.

I am currently seeking advancement to a position that will make me the primary voice of a collegiate and/or pro team.

Marky Billson

I am interested in full-time and freelance sportscasting assignments. I have a love of sportscasting, a vast knowledge of sports and a commitment second to no other sportscaster. I have worked in major and national markets as a talk show host, play-by-play announcer, a reporter and an anchor on both radio and television for seven different sports. Humor to keep broadcasts lively and the use of current events to inject unique points of interest are incorporated into my broadcasts.

My background in the field is hosting talk shows on WTAE in Pittsburgh (Steelers flagship) and WEMB in Tricities, Tenn. I have done play-by-play for pro baseball, football and basketball games. Because of my love of sportscasting and my commitment to it, I have often driven 800 miles to cover high school games. I have been a sideline reporter for the Pittsburgh Panthers and a field reporter for national radio networks covering pro football and the NHL.

Currently, I am writing for several sports magazines, including Inside Pitt Panthers Sports, and producing NASCAR broadcasts for WXBQ in Bristol, VA. My writing helped KDKA win AP's "Pennsylvania's Best Sportscast" award. I have also worked in sports marketing, creating a unique "Dukes of Hazzard" night for two Georgia pro baseball teams and have done sales for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
